This is a half-hour documentary made in collaboration with a group of leading academics who research political trust (TrustGov), based out of Southampton and Harvard Universities. ’The Trust Crisis’ explores the notion of trust within the political world, whether it’s currently in crisis and what the ideal level of trust might be for a functioning democracy.

The film takes us on a journey through three countries (US, UK and Denmark) to find explore those places’ differing levels of political trust and what might cause them, talking to citizens, politicians, journalists and academic experts. Is democracy at threat? Is the trust crisis one of the most dangerous of our time?
